Cheetah

Looking at something else to photograph, I noticed the grass moving in the distance. I wildlife close by all stood to attention and looked in one direction. exactly where the long grass had been moving.... we started the landrover and made our way to the moving grass, when something caught our eye, there was something in the distance.....

There was definately something there. It stood up, and there it was.... a cheetah. it had been laying in wait,  trying to get as close as possible to the prey before the chase.  It sat up, held its head in shame. Then it looked left and right, as if looking for something. Sure enough, about half a mile away it had 1 cub, waiting for mum to bring home the bacon.....

We drove to where the cub was hiding, its sat up, looked around and then just walked off in mums direction.

In the first photo below, the cheetah cannot be seen, but something was a-foot. In the second photo, you can just see a line, this is the cheetahs back, the 3rd photo, shows the cheetah giving up the chase and sitting up.
