I have seen wilderbeast on the TV, in David Attenbrough documentaries. I have watched programmes were the wilderbeast merge together and start their migration, thousands together. On a TV screen the migration looked good, but..... when you are parked in the middle of the herd, or watch the herd cross the track around your vehicle you get the real picture of the immensity of it all.
As far as the eye could see, there were wilderbeast, in the thousands, old males having a barny, mothers with their young, young males playing around. My heart was definatly in my throat, it was amazing.
If that wasn't enough, as the herd moved on, our vehicle moved on with them, the faster they trotted the faster we follow, my heart was about to burst with excitment. I tried to video the scene, the dust, the noise and the motion..... but all I got was video of the sky, then my feet, then the sky then my feet..... you get the picture. As we moved over the uneven ground along with the herd it is an experience I will never forget....... Truly amazing
Those Zebra get everywhere
