Kit (Serval)

One evening as we were leaving the Serengeti, the vehicle came to a slow stop. The guide turned and whispered, 'look to the right in front of the landrover', and there it was, a little cat, well not as small as domestic cats you get in the UK, but really not much bigger either. The camera shot up, I clicked a few times and the cat was gone as quickly as it had appeared. The guide called it a 'Kit' but later I was informed that it was an African Serval. A shy creature that you don't get to see often as it blends really well in the undergrowth. I felt quite privaleged to have actually seen one, be it only for a minute or two
