Jackal

I count myself very privilaged not only to have seen a Jackal, but to see it creep up on prey. The Jackal took his time, very low in the grass, waiting for what seemed a life time, waiting for the right moment to pounce. A family group of Impala were busy grazing, a mother and her young together. The Jackel has his eye on the young Impala.

Then he was seen and the alert went out.  The Jackal didnt give up straight away, he did carry on circling but, in the end, gave up and ran off to find someone else to eat for dinner.....

As I say so privilaged to witness the whole event.........
